NEW CELL PHONE LAW IN EFFECT
On March 1, 2008, using a handheld cell phone while operating a motor vehicle became a primary offense, which allows police officers to conduct motor vehicle stops solely for this violation.Using a handheld cell phone includes talking and text messaging.This is a moving violation and fines begin at $100.00.This is a statewide law. Motorists will be permitted to call 911 to report emergencies.
REALTORS® need to support RPAC
Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.Contributions to RPAC are voluntary and are used for political purposes.You may contribute more or less than the amount suggested or refuse to contribute without affecting your membership rights. 70% of each contribution is used by REALTORS® Political Action Committee of New Jersey to support state and local political candidates. The remaining 30% is provided to National RPAC and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a.
