The Meadowlands Board of REALTORS® has been serving the needs of REALTORS® and the public in South Bergen and West Hudson County for over 80 years. The Meadowlands Board was first established as the Rutherford-Lyndhurst Board of REALTORS® in 1921. In 1947 the name was changed to South Bergen County Board of REALTORS® to better represent the expanding service area of the Board. In 1983 the South Bergen County Board changed its name to the Meadowlands Board of REALTORS® and in 1993 the Meadowlands Board merged with the Arlington Kearny Board of REALTORS®.
 Only real estate professionals who are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® can call themselves REALTORS®. Founded in 1908, NAR HAS GROWN FROM ITS ORIGINAL NUCLEUS OF 120, TO OVER 1 million members today. NAR is composed of REALTORS® who are involved in residential and commercial real estate as brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors and others who are engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry. All REALTORS® adhere to NAR's strict Code of Ethics, which is based on professionalism and protection of the public.
One of the many functions of your local board is to provide support services and education training. Along with the required training from the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® the Meadowlands Board also provides seminars on challenging real estate issues.
The Meadowlands Board of REALTORS® is proud to sponsor community events. This year our Annual Golf Outing to benefit Tomorrows Children’s Fund and other charities was a great success! The Community Service Committee also organizes food drives and clothing drives throughout the year.
